Gaga is a genus of 19 species of ferns named for American singer and songwriter Lady Gaga. Two species are new: Gaga germanotta, a Costa Rican native named for Gaga's family; she was born Stefani Germanotta, and Gaga monstraparva, a Mexican native named for Gaga's fans, known as 'little monsters'. The remaining 17 species had been assigned to the genus Cheilanthes before reclassification.[2]
