Title | Miss Bulgaria 2009 |
Antonia Petrova (Template:Lang-bg, born 1984) the winner of Miss Bulgaria 2009, from the city of Pernik. She represented the country at Miss World 2009 which took place in December 2009.[1][2] She crowned her successor Miss Bulgaria, Romina Andonova, in April 2010.[3]
Almost immediately after winning her crown, Petrova became a contestant in the third season of VIP Brother (the celebrity edition of the reality show Big Brother) in Bulgaria.[4] She spent 14 days in the house, and then voluntarily walked.[5]
She is also infamous for the wearing and advocating of wearing fur. On behalf of her cynical behaviour regarding animal rights and suffering, which contradicted the cause of protecting wild animals that she was supposed to defend being selected as Miss Bulgaria, numerous people demanded her title to be taken away.[6]
