The Bank of America Tower, previously known as the Fleet Bank Tower, and Industrial Trust Tower, is currently the tallest building in Rhode Island.

The Art Deco skyscraper was constructed in 1927 at 428 feet. During the 1950s, it was rumored that the Daily Planet building, from the Superman comics, was modeled after this building. Even though this is untrue - the actual model was the Ohio Bell Building in Cleveland, Ohio - the building is still sometimes referred to as the Superman Building.
