Template:Contains Korean text VIXX (Template:Lang-ko) is a six member South Korean boy band, signed under Jellyfish Entertainment. All members were finalists on Mnet's reality program, Mydol. The members were chosen in an elimination system through viewer votes.
History
Pre-debut
The current members of VIXX competed their way through various different tasks on the reality program Mydol to debut, going from 10 to 6 final members. The members were picked by public elimination process. They, the 6 finalists, were later then signed to a contract with Jelly Fish Entertainment. Their band name was chosen by the public as well.
2012-present: "Super Hero" & "Rock Ur Body"
VIXX debuted with their 1st single album "Super Hero" on May 4, 2012. Their debut stage was on May 24th's M! Countdown.
Their first overseas performance was at the US Otakon Convention in Baltimore, Maryland on July 27, 2012.
On August 14, 2012 VIXX made a comeback with their 2nd single album "Rock Ur Body".
The group also attended KCON 2012 on October 13th. They held a fansign event and performed their singles "Superhero" and "Rock Ur Body" at the Verizon Ampitheater later that night for the closing concert.
