Tim Curran is one of the best young surfers in the WCT, and is consistent contention for the world championship. He is extremely talented, but yet remains one of the most affable and well regarded surfers on the tour. Tim resides in the Silver Strand Beach nieghborhood of Oxnard in Southern California, just outside of Los Angeles. He was born in the San Fernando Valley, but grew up in Temecula in southern Riverside County. Temecula is roughly an hour from the ocean, so at age 5 his father started driving him to the beach every weekend and taught him to surf. His dedication and love for surfing has led him to a successful career.
