Prema Sai Baba re-deletion requested
Can you please re-delete? Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Log/2007_November_19#Prema_Sai_Baba This article was re-created without deletion review. I personally do not oppose the existence of this article, but I oppose its current form, because it is written only with sources closely related to the subject (devotee sources). A few third party reputable sources exist (Babb, Taylor), but I am a bit tired of proposing them, because my experience in the past years on Sathya Sai Baba related articles is that these get ignored. I am not allowed to edit the article myself, in contrast to the talk page, because I was topic banned by the arbcom, because of Conflict of Interest (hostility to the subject). Thanks in advance. Andries (talk) 08:02, 19 June 2011 (UTC)
- And? I had mentioned this request at talk:Sathya Sai Baba. One editor agreed and nobody objected. I am aware that the circumstances of my request are unusual, but I think that a deletion would be okay and according to procedures. I will ask another admin to delete if it takes too long. Andries (talk) 13:53, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- The current article is sufficiently different from the deleted version that I am hesitant to delete it based on an AfD three and a half years ago. The concerns you raise seem to be more about editorial concerns rather than issues that might strike down the article (as you apparently admitted). I would be unwilling to delete it without having it go through another AfD, even though you're constrained from doing much about it by ArbCom. Perhaps your concerns should be raised at the appropriate noticeboard. --Kurykh (talk) 14:58, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- I admit that the first article of which I was the main author was different from the current one. The first one used some 3rd party reputable sources. The current one none. I make an AFD. Andries (talk) 15:49, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oh, no, I can not make an AFD. Andries (talk) 15:50, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

2012 House election map
Hello. Thank you for creating the House election map for 2012. I noticed two things that need to be changed. First, Oklahoma's 2nd district needs to be changed to GOP gain, as it was gained by Republicans. Also, UT-4 needs to be changed to Democratic Hold, as Jim Matheson won the seat. Thank You! NBA2030 (talk) 17:25, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
- I also noticed Florida's 6th and Georgia's 9th which are new districts should be shown as republican gains. Thanks. Rxguy (talk) 17:39, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
One last thing, another user changed the map. Could you change it back to the one you created? I think yours is better and it is less confusing. Thank you! NBA2030 (talk) 20:42, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Someone changed the maps you made for the 2010 and 2012 house elections. Can you please change it back to your original maps they were so much better!!! Thanks! Praline97 00:14, 14 November 2012 (UTC)
Thank you so much for bringing back the great map that you made for the 2010 House elections. Can you revert the map for the 2012 house elections back to the one with the bright red and bright blue pickups with black state lines that you had before that person started changing things. It would have continuity with the 2006, 2008, and 2010 maps and, therefore, be less confusing. Thanks!! Praline97 00:45, 16 November 2012 (UTC)

NewsGator Online
Hi, you deleted the page for NewsGator Online some time ago. I do not agree with your "No claim of notability (and lacks independent sources)" qualification -- a cursory Google or Google Books search brings up dozens of reliable sources.
I'll just recreate the page, OK? -- Michel Vuijlsteke (talk) 08:07, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
Please restore the Creedence Clearwater Revival in other media page
Hello, you recently deleted the "Creedence Clearwater Revival in media" page about a month ago. Could you please restore it? It contained a large amount of information documenting the usage of Creedence Clearwater Revival songs in televisions shows, movies, commercials, etc and the deletion of the article had no good reason behind it whatsoever. I would truly appreciate if you could restore the article. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.6.150.154 (talk) 06:14, 27 July 2011 (UTC)

Map creation question
You are listed as the creator of File:California AD-72.svg. I was just wondering how you created these maps - I'm considering creating a similar set of maps for Iowa. Thanks in advance. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 02:11, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited California State Legislature, 2011–2012 session, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nancy Skinner (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Horace Traubel
Just a quick heads-up that I've righted a boo-boo you made back in 2007 when you deleted a piece on Horace Traubel. That was a whoops, it happens. Carrite (talk) 23:12, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
I can understand why some of my edits are changed on the United States Senate election in California, 2012 page
but what bothers me is that because some of my edits are in the wrong format people (including you) are just deleting all of them. for example I took out "2012 potential candidates" section because it is now to late for anyone else to join the race. but noooo you guys constantly put that false information back up, because it is easier to just delete everything I did then looking through the edits one at a time. This is what makes new people not want to contribute to wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.10.98.206 (talk) 18:37, 12 April 2012 (UTC)

Redundundant?
If CA cities and towns were, in the minds of users, always incorporated entities then there would not be the problem of editors adding unincorporated locations, e.g. Quincy. Obviously there are those who do not automatically think of incorporated entities when they see the words "Cities and Towns," so, even though it might be technically redundant (by virtue of state law), it is not practically redundant. It's like the word inflammable being discontinued as a reference for something that will burn, because many people think it means that something won't burn, regardless of what the dictionary says. They were just being practical as I believe I was when I added "(Incorporated)." Is there some reason we can't be practical? Will it hurt to have the notation there?CampKohler (talk) 01:50, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
- Only one person has added Quincy as a city, and I'm sure they did that because they saw "county seat" and thought we were missing some places. One instance does not mean there's a systemic problem in the article, so I thought there was no need for such a tautology. If anyone was confused about what a city or town is, there's a link to the article about local government in the United States in the lede. Lastly, from the tone of your post, you're taking my revert of your addition a bit too seriously. It's simply a difference of opinion, and I hope it stays just that. --Kurykh (talk) 03:50, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your work on California election pages
I noticed you've done a lot of recent work on the many pages related to California elections. Thanks! I'm trying to puzzle out the effects of the redistricting, specifically in California's_72nd_State_Assembly_district -- suggestions would be appreciated. - Thanks for your kind words! I'm happy to answer any questions that you may have. --Kurykh (talk) 04:42, 19 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Kurykh! I too am looking for info on the results of redistricting, specifically what will happen to the even-numbered California State Senate districts and the Senators that represent the former even-numbered districts. I notice that on the California_State_Legislature,_2013–2014_session page, you assigned State Senators from old districts to specific new districts (e.g. Mark Wyland to SD 36, Joel Anderson to SD 38, etc.), and I am curious as to the source of that info. I know we'll find out officially on December 3rd or so, but if you have advance info I would love to know where it's from. Thanks much! gohlkus (talk) 23:52, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
