Billa 2 has not been dropped

Ajith fans talked with Vishnuvardhan during an Sarvam audio launch function. When we asked about the reason for not doing Billa 2 he replied that it has not been dropped and the script draft work is going on. He has also informed that by 2010 he will be working with Thala for the Billa 2 and it is going to be bigger than Billa 2007.

Let we keep our fingers crossed!!!

Well Administrators Please consider this...... Billa 2 Has Been confirmed officially. So wikipedia must create a page for it. I have given the sources. more sources also is there Please Consider it...........

Name change

The article should probably be moved to Billa II with Roman numerals, as the pre-production poster suggests. EelamStyleZ (talk) 23:26, 26 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Is that the official poster? As the description says, it has been taken from a facebook user's wall. You need an RS showing it. Secret of success Talk to me 05:42, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's presumably an official poster. Yeah, that's just a judgement call, but I do think it's wiser to wait until we have a reliable source for the poster. EelamStyleZ (talk) 18:28, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The poster was featured in Tamil newspapers on Diwali, it is an official one, so yes, it should be moved to Billa II. (It was posted by the producer himself on his Facebook wall, isn't that reliable enough?) Johannes003 (talk) 16:03, 2 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

An underworld don David Billa (Ajith Kumar), featured on Interpol’s criminal list, is hiding and operating out of Malaysia. DSP Jayaprakash (Prabhu) has spent the last few years looking for Billa, leaving behind a life in India.

During a chase with the police Billa is severely wounded after an accident and dies in front of the DSP. The DSP then secretly holds a burial of Billa. Interpol officer Gokulnath (Rahman) is assigned to work with DSP Jayaprakash to capture elusive Billa as no-one knows of Billa's death. DSP Jayaprakash keeps the death of Billa as a secret even from his fellow officers, and tracks down a look-alike called Saravana Velu (Ajith Kumar), a lowly pick-pocket. He asks Velu to infiltrate Billa's gang by pretending to be Billa. In return he will make sure that the child Velu adopted, Karan, gets a proper education.

The DSP trains Velu and sends him back to Billa's gang as a person who has lost his memory. Slowly Velu starts to learn about Billa's gang and even speaks to Jagdish, Billa's boss, on the phone. Velu provides a pen drive with the secret information of the crime network to the DSP, but he is about to be killed by Sasha (Nayantara) because her brother Rajesh as well as her fiance Rhea (Rose Dawn) were killed by Billa. At this juncture, the DSP arrives and tells her that he is Velu and not Billa. Later before a party, Velu secretly provides information to the DSP about a meeting of Billa's network and C.J. (Namitha), Billa's girlfriend, overhears his conversation. She challenges Velu but in the fight, he accidentally kills her. A shootout occurs at the party and the DSP is secretly killed by Jagdish, leaving his gun behind. Velu finds the DSP's body and the gun, but is taken into the custody of the police team, now headed by Interpol Officer Gokulnath. He argues during interrogation that he is Velu and not Billa to Gokulnath. Velu mentions a piece of evidence - the pen drive which may prove his innocence but the pen drive is nowhere to be found.

Unable to prove his innocence, he escapes from a police van. He phones Gokulnath and ask him to meet at the Aero bridge. Here it is revealed that Gokulnath is none other than the Underworld Crime Don Jagdish and he is the one who killed Jayprakash. Officer Anil Menon apparently had the pen drive all along and strikes a deal with Velu to get hold of Jagdish. Meanwhile, Sasha and Karan have been kidnapped by Jagdish and wants the pen drive in return for it. Velu meets Ranjith and gives him a second pen drive with the same data, but corrupted. When Ranjith tries to kill Velu, a scuffle ensues making Ranjith fall from the top. In a final confrontation, Jagdish fights with Velu. Jagdish posing as Gokulnath asks the police to arrest Velu as Billa but gets shot by the squad of police and dies as the police have wired the entire conversation between Jagdish and Velu, thus proving his innocence. Velu finally hands over the original pen drive to Officer Menon.

Billa (Prabhas) is a don operating from Malaysia. He sells guns and drugs, but ACP Krishna Murthy (Krishnam Raju) is on his trail.[3].Later in a car chase Billa dies.Only ACP knows about it.Then he finds Ranga,an exact copy of Billa. He replaces Billa with Ranga after giving him proper training.ACP asks Ranga to copy all the details about Billa's gang from his computer.Ranga copies all of it and stores it in a pendrive.ACP found that Billa has a boss named Devil. Later ACP is shot dead by Devil. The story later unwraps how Ranga convinces the police that he is not Billa and how he finds Devil.Billa is the story of one of the most powerful men in the business of crime, who in spite of being one of the most wanted on the list of Interpol, remains elusive to the police. Along with the police, Billa (Rajinikanth) makes a few other enemies through his merciless approach in running his organization, especially when he kills one of his own men, Rajesh, when Rajesh decides to leave the business. This introduces Billa to two new enemies, Kamini (Helen), Rajesh’s fiancee, and Priya, (Sripriya) Rajesh’s sister. When Kamini seduces Billa and attempts to have the police arrest him, her plan backfires as Billa outsmarts her and escapes, and in the process Kamini was killed.

A shattered, revenge-seeking Priya cuts her hair short, trains in judo and karate, and then enters Billa’s gang after deceiving them into thinking that she too is on the wrong side of the law. Billa is impressed with her fighting skills and allows her to work for him, without realizing her true intentions. Meanwhile, after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at nabbing Billa, the police finally succeed, but Billa dies during the pursuit, botching DSP Alexander’s (K.Balaji) plan to reach the source of all crime—the man Billa reported to-by capturing Billa alive. DSP buries Billa’s body, ensuring that people believe that he is still be alive. As luck would have it, DSP remembers his chance encounter with Rajappa alias Raju (Rajinikanth), a simpleton trying to survive in the hustle and bustle of Chennai in order to support two small foster kids, who is an exact lookalike of Billa. DSP hatches a plan to transform Raju into Billa and place him back into the crime nexus, but this time as a police informer. Rajinikanth portrays the dreaded underworld don Billa

Around the time Raju "returns" to Billa's gang as Billa under the guise of amnesia. JJ (Thengai Srinivasan), just released from jail, begins his mission of revenge against DSP (for his wife's death) and his search for his children who had been saved and taken care off by Raju. Raju manages to replace the red diary with a blank one, and tells his gang that he is going to take revenge on the DSP, but is actually going there to give him the red diary. Priya goes after him, but Raju survives the attack and he tries to explain to her that he is not Billa, but Raju. She refuses to believe him at first but DSP intervenes and tells her that the man she is trying to kill is indeed Raju.

Meanwhile, as Raju learns more and more about Billa through the discovery of his diary and Priya’s help, he announces to his colleagues that his memory is back. Celebrations ensue, as "Billa" announces his return to the underworld, but things take a drastic turn when the police raid the celebrations, acting upon Raju's information, but Raju’s only witness to his true identity, DSP Alexander, dies in the crossfire and Raju is captured by the police.

Tangled in a web of confusion when the police refused to believe that he is Raju, whereas his underworld gang realize that he is indeed not Billa, Raju becomes not only hated by the police, but also by Billa’s right-hand and the rest of his gang. To add to Raju’s woes, Billa’s diary which he had handed over to DSP — his last hope of proving his innocence — is stolen by JJ in an attempt to track down his lost children, without realizing that Raju is the one man who can reunite them. Raju escapes the clutches of the police and the underworld with Priya’s help and returns to his old self though he struggles to prove his identity and innocence. He eventually finds out that the Interpol Officer Gokulnath is Jagdish, the real underworld crime boss and after a long fight against Jagdish's men, Priya ends up getting the diary and one of the gangster's snatches it and burns it. The end reveals that the diary which was burnt was, in fact, the fake diary and Raju had the real one in order to trick Jagdish, he gives the proof to the police and cleared of all charges against him, Jagdish is arrested and Raju returns to his old life.An underworld don David Billa (Ajith Kumar), featured on Interpol’s criminal list, is hiding and operating out of Malaysia. Billa 2 collections absolutely fake because the movie has been widely accepted as a below average movie and theatre have empty stands since the second week. The movie female lead parvathy ommanakuttan had openly come out and defended her self telling she's not the only reason for billa-2 debacle. Moviecrow had a report published which says there is a 72% drop in Billa-2 collections in 2nd week. which only confirms the fact that billa-2 bombed at the box office.

Post release

Can we add such a section that describes other events on Billa 2 which happened after its release? Here's a rough example:

The audience's response to Billa II was lukewarm and polarized, mirroring the film's critical reception. Following the film's lukewarm reception, a film distributor in Kerala got a heart attack due to this. Lead actor Ajith however remained silent to this, feeling that praises on his performance was all he needed. Director chakri Toleti Eventually admitted to the film's flaws, and "apologized" to all the actors fans.
