DeWitt Township is one of thirteen townships in DeWitt County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2000 census, its population was 465.[1] It was renamed from its original name of Marion Township on June 7, 1859.

According to the United States Census Bureau, DeWitt Township covers an area of 35.12 square miles (91.0 km2); of this, 32.83 square miles (85.0 km2) (93.49 percent) is land and 2.29 square miles (5.9 km2) (6.51 percent) is water.
