The 2012–13 Boise State Broncos men's basketball team represents Boise State University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos, led by third year head coach Leon Rice, play their home games at Taco Bell Arena and are a member of the Mountain West Conference. This will be the Broncos second and final year as a member of the Mountain West. With the school's football program set to join the Big East Conference in 2013, the rest of Boise State sports were originally set to rejoin the Western Athletic Conference, the conference they left in 2010. However, with the WAC being decimated by teams leaving for other conferences, on August 24, 2012 the Broncos announced they will join the Big West Conference in 2013.[1]

Season notes

Boise State's win over #11 Creighton on November 28 is the highest ranked team Boise State has ever beaten in program history. The previous highest ranked team they defeated was #15 Washington in 1998. [4] Following the win over Creighton, the Broncos began to receive votes in both the AP and Coaches polls.
