Wazir Khan (Sirhind)

Wazir Khan (died 1710) was Governor of Sarhind. The real name of this Wazir Khan of Sarhind was Mirza Askari; he had a Persian background and was amongst the most loyal vassals of Aurangzeb. He had a mansab for two thousand horsemen, and, the land between Satluj and Jamuna/Yamuna rivers was under his administration.;[1] [also see vol 1 of Dr Dilgeer's book].[2]
