Javed Bashir Khan (Urdu: جاوید بشیر خان; born on Aug 8, 1973) is one of the renowned classical singer in Pakistan. He has been the lead vocalist of the famous sufi classical band Mekaal Hasan Band. He was awarded Pride of Performance civil award on 14th Aug, 2012.

Career and Albums

Javed Bashir Khan started his singng career at the age of 12 with his father [1]. He initially released few Qawali albums and performed in live shows and concerts [2]

In 2000, he joined a very popular sufi classical Band Mekaal Hasan Band as a lead vocalist. With Mekaal Hasan Band, Javed acheived mainstream success with both their albums Sampooran and Saptak (Urdu: سپتک).

Javed started his solo career in 2010 with the release of his album Subrang[3].

Collaborations

He worked with Sondre Bratland on a very hit album with the name Dialouge[4].
