The Neils Hansen Basketball Stadium is located in the West Australian regional city of Kalgoorlie-Boulder. The stadium is owned and administered by the Kalgoorlie-Boulder Basketball Association. From March through to August each year, it is the home of the Goldfields Giants of the State Basketball League of Western Australia (SBL) and it has a maximum capacity of around 1200 for SBL games.
The stadium has played host to numerous National Basketball League (NBL) pre-season games over the years, including two games of the NBL's official pre-season tournament in 1996 featuring the Perth Wildcats, Adelaide 36ers, Hobart Devils and a touring Athletes in Action team.
In an NBL perspective, the stadium's highlight has been the staging of an official NBL regular season game in February 2003 between the Wildcats and the Hunter Pirates, which was won by Perth. It was also host to an official Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) regular season game in the early 1990s featuring the West Coast Waves (then known as the Perth Breakers). Another WNBL regular season game involving the Waves (then known as the Perth Lynx) was played at the stadium in February 2009.
