Leslye Obiora is a Nigeria-born American professor of Law at Rogers College of Law, University of Arizona, Tucson. She teaches Human Rights, Public International Law, Jurisprudence and Gender and Law. She was educated at the University of Nigeria, LL.B. (1984), Yale Law School, LL.M. (1988) and Stanford Law School, J.S.D (2000). From 2006-2007, she was Cabinet Minister, Federal Government of Nigeria, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development. She founded Institute for Research on African Women, Children & Culture (IRAWCC) and is the convener, Stimulating Philanthropy Nigeria Leadership Forums. She has won several awards for her contribution to humanity in general.
