F. P. Reed was the first head football coach for the Doane College Tigers located in Crete, Nebraska and he held that position for the 1892 season. His coaching record at Doane was 1 wins, 1 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 32nd at Doane in total wins and 21st at Doane in winning percentage (.500).[1] He was an alumnus of Dartmouth College.[2]
