MS Pride of Calais → ? –

Oppose - Premature at best. OK, she is Ostend Spirit today, just as Pride of Dover is Pride today, but both will remain better known by their original names for some time, if not always. There are plenty of rumours swilling around about both vessels, involving Scandlines and a future Ramsgate Spirit. Suggest reconsider in six months or so when it is clearer what will happen. Davidships (talk) 22:49, 19 December 2012 (UTC). Seen purported Scandlines press announcement (not yet on-line) that they have bought both vessels, which will be joined in Turkey to be big new double-ended Knudshovet for Rostock-Gedser route.Davidships (talk) 08:37, 20 December 2012 (UTC). Scandlines story now believed to be a hoax. But reliable sources on the EuropaFerries story, though supported by actual events, remain limited to two local newspapers in West Flanders.Davidships (talk) 23:09, 20 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am aware of that and I do see your point that she is currently better known as Pride of Calais. Yes, maybe later in the year it might be wise to reconsider the name, however I can assure that she has been acquired by Trasneuropea Ferries for a 3 year charter. Her name WILL be Ostend Spirit and she will be registered in Ramsgate as she still has the Red ensign. --2013harry 17:12, 23 December 2012 (UTC)
