Al-Shaykh Badr District

34°59′N 36°05′E / 34.98°N 36.08°E Al-Shaykh Badr District (Template:Lang-ar) is a district (mantiqah) of the Tartus Governorate in Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 52,981.[1] The centre of the district is the town of Al-Shaykh Badr.
Divisions
The district of al-Shaykh Badr is divided into three sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):
- Al-Shaykh Badr nahiyah (ناحية الشيخ بدر): population 25,324.[2]
- Brummanet al-Mashayekh nahiyah (ناحية برمانة المشايخ): population 13,562[3]
- Al-Qamsiyah nahiyah (ناحية القمصية): population 14,095.[4]
