Daniel Henshall (born 9 August 1982) is an Australian film, television and theatre actor.

He is best known for his portrayal[1][2][3]of the serial killer John Bunting in the feature film Snowtown[4][5].

Snowtown was screened as part of the Cannes Films Festival 2011[6], where it was awarded the FIPRESCI Special Mention Prize[7].

Henshall went on to receive the

[8], the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Actor in a leading role[9], and Best Actor at the International Festival of Film Marrakech 2011[10].

In 2012 Daniel played the character Nick in the Working Dog Productions feature Any Questions for Ben? directed by Rob Sitch[11], he also played Dave in Peter Templemans debut Not Suitable for Children[12], both romantic comedies. For television he was seen as the loveable upstart Jock in the ABC/Fremantle media mini series Devils Dust directed by Jessica Hobbs[13] [14]

This upcoming year Henshall will be seen in the features Around the Block directed by Sarah Spillane and starring Christina Ricci[15], the physiological horror The Babadook directed by Jennifer Kent[16] and the apocalyptic These Final Hours directed by Zac Hilditch[17][18].

He is currently performing in the Sydney Theatre Company production of The Secret River for the 2013 Sydney Festival [19].
