Lee Jin-wook (Korean: 이진욱; Hanja: 李陳旭; born September 16, 1981) is a South Korean actor.
Career
After dropping out of his Environmental Engineering course at Cheongju University to pursue acting, Lee made his debut in 2003 as a print model for Panasonic. His roles include a good-natured stalker in Alone in Love, a baseball player in Smile Again, a private investigator in Someday, an Incheon Airport employee in Air City, a plastic surgeon in Before and After, the president's son in Formidable Rivals, and a newly married chaebol in Glass Castle.
On May 6, 2009 Lee enlisted for his two-year mandatory military service. He reported to the 306th draft in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.[1] He was discharged on March 7, 2011 after serving 22 months of active duty from the Defense Media Agency of the Ministry of National Defense in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.[2][3]
Lee's comeback project was Myung-wol the Spy in the role of a North Korean spy.[4][5] After playing the heroine's on-and-off boyfriend in I Need Romance 2012,[6] Lee was cast as a TV anchor in the time-traveling romance Nine.[7]
Personal life
After meeting on the set of Air City in 2007, Lee began dating actress Choi Ji-woo.[8] The couple broke up in 2011.[9]
