Deleting of the Article Dan Alex Sârbu

Hello Jim,
would you please let me know why you deleted my article Dan Alex Sârbu?... Dan Alex Sârbu was a member of a famous Romanian rock band called Iris (please take a look to the link)...

Could be possible to restore this article because I would like to go on and complete it?... Thank you.

Johnny Miller (musician)

I really don't think this article merited a speedy, certaily not on your terms. Tagging, certainly. The opinions on him were inline sourced, I can't see what it was unambiguously advertising, & references could have been addded. Notability is another issue. Note that I'm not the article creator, I just saw it come up on new pages & did a few tweaks.TheLongTone (talk) 18:42, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

Thank you sincerely for all the informations you wrote me... infact I haven't much experience with Wikipedia...

My idea was to translate in future the romanian article, so I created that page... but you've been really quick in deleting the article... :) UK efficiency...

I've tried to use the link [[ro:Dan Alex Sârbu]] but it doesn't work so I used this one: [http://ro.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Alex_Sârbu Dan Alex Sârbu].

Ciao, Dan

Reed Brody

Why did you delete the Reed Brody post? It was a completely factual account of his life and career and the justification you gave does not address anything in the post.

Hi Jim,

I don't think i've been using the talk facility properly. Sorry. Anyway... i've tried to fix what i've edited on someone else's comments. But yes, i'm writing to you as you deleted a page I made about the Medicines Patent Pool for being advertising. I didn't mean for this to be an advert and have made changes to the text (please see below) in order to better meet requirements. Can you please let me know if this is better? If so, can I go ahead and post it? Many thanks!!

The Medicines Patent Pool (http://www.medicinespatentpool.org) is a one-stop shop for HIV medicines patent holders and manufacturers of generic drugs, as well as research and development organisations. It was created in July 2010 (http://www.unitaid.eu/images/EB11/05%20_eb11%20res.5%20implementation%20of%20patent%20pool.pdf) in order to bring down the price of HIV medicines for those living in low-income countries and to facilitate the development of better-adapted HIV medicines. The stated aim of the Pool is to "increase access to quality, safe, effective, appropriate and affordable treatment for HIV in low- and middle-income countries". To do this, the Pool negotiates voluntary licence agreements for patents on HIV medicines, thus enabling generic competition, which lowers prices for those in developed countries. The Pool focuses in particular on the development of HIV medicines that are better-adapted for the resource-limited settings of low-income countries, such as medicines that do not require refrigeration, special formulations for children, and fixed-dose combinations that combine multiple medicines into one pill and thus ease treatment for both patients and treatment providers. The Pool is financed by UNITAID (http://www.unitaid.eu/who/about-unitaid), an innovative financing mechanism that targets HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in low-income countries, for a five year period. The Pool is one of two patent pools that aim to tackle the issue of access to HIV/AIDS drugs in low-income countries. The other is the Pool for Open Innovation http://thehill.com/blogs/congress-blog/healthcare/275677-innovation-to-fund-global-health.

Khan Bank page

Dear Jimfbleak,

I am writing from Marketing division from Khan Bank which is in charge of public publications, advertisement and marketing. Last time, we've tried to create Khan Bank's new page in wikipedia on 12 December 2012 but it was denied due to context of the page which was considered promotional. Now, we've rewritten the context and hope it would match the wikipedia requirement. Your comments and concerns are welcomed.

Warm regards, Buyantsog

Todd Pedersen page

Hello Jimfbleak. I will be posting the page again, after some major revisions. As I noted on my Talk page, I find it difficult to find links that don't appear 'promotional' of the person. I will delete the links to youtubes created by his company. I will also work to not make it appear as promoting his company. As I mentioned, this is similar to writing an article about, for example, Steve Jobs without mentioning Apple, or about Bill Gates without mentioning Microsoft, or Henry Ford without mentioning Ford Motor Company. In each instance, their reason for notability is because of what they did with their company. That is true with Todd Pedersen, too, in that he was the instrument in driving it to becoming the second largest company in the field (ADT is the largest), and the largest private company in the field.
