Sherbaz Khan

Sherbaz Khan, also known as Baz Khan,[1] was a leader of the Dhund Abbasi and other tribe in the Hazara Region and Murree region of colonial India during the time of the British Raj.He was a great leader , freedom fighter and a Martyre (Shaheed).

Contibution

Sherbaz Khan planned to attack the British settlement of Murree in July 1857 during the uprising against British colonial rule - with a force of 300 men, but his plans were leaked to the British and he was betrayed by some local tribes (other than Dhund abbasi and Karlal) and he along with his sons were captured by the British. He was sentenced and hanged . His eight sons placed in front of cannons and shot.
