Mikun railway station

Mikun (Template:Lang-ru) is a town in Ust-Vymsky District of the Komi Republic, Russia, located 96 kilometers (60 mi) north of Syktyvkar. Population: 10,730 (2010 Census);[1] 11,680 (2002 Census);[2] 12,507 (1989 Soviet census).[3]

It was founded in 1937 as a gulag settlement. Town status was granted to it in 1959.
