020 code

Inner London does not equal 020 7 and Outer London does not equal 020 8.

Numbers starting 7 and 8 are now re-issued anywhere in the 020 area and new blocks of numbers are only issued to telecom suppliers starting with a 3 now. MRSC 11:03, 10 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Boundaries

in certain areas the town's demarcations with Hounslow and Brentford have become somewhat vague

As far as Hounslow is concerned, there never was a traditional boundary between Hounslow and Isleworth. Rather, Hounslow grew up in the medieval period as a settlement along the Bath Road, which formed the parish boundary between Heston and Isleworth, and fell into both settlements. 62.252.236.71 (talk) 19:35, 2 February 2009 (UTC) The boundary between Isleworth and Twickenham had also been slightly altered in the 1930s, to enable the western approaches of Twickenham Bridge to lie in Twickenham. Much of the (old) Isleworth-Twickenham boundary lay along a tiny waterway called Burkett's Brook, running south of the Ivybridge Estate and under Ivy Bridge (Mother Ive's Bridge) on London Road/Twickenham Road. It can be seen flowing into the Crane close to the bridge where The Avenue/A316 crosses the Crane at St Margarets. 62.252.236.71 (talk) 19:38, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Is Turner ever referred to as William Turner? That was his father's name. He is usually referred to by his initials, just his surname or his full name. 86.173.98.24 (talk) 01:35, 7 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
