The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2013 are scheduled for February 4–17, 2013, in Schladming, Styria, Austria. A record number of athletes and countries will perform on this championships. Schladming previously hosted the world championships in 1982; prior to acquiring the 2013 event, it made two unsuccessful bids to host.

The FIS awarded the 2013 championships to Schladming on May 29, 2008, in Cape Town, South Africa. The other three finalists were Beaver Creek/Vail, Cortina d'Ampezzo, and St. Moritz. Beaver Creek/Vail will host in 2015, St. Moritz in 2017.
