I'm a museum guide as my main means of employment. I was born in California, have lived in Nevada and Oregon, and currently live in Glendale, California. So that you may know where my biases are (if any express themselves), I was raised Roman Catholic, but just consider myself a Monotheist at this point. I politically am a progressive Democrat. Ethnically I am a European mongrel with my major components being Irish of which I am 3/8ths and Polish of which I am 1/4th.

I took care of my GED's at Pasadena City College, and then transferred to Cal State Northridge where I have yet to finish.

I enjoy backpacking; collecting vinyl records; knitting; reading science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, histories, and the occasional vampire book; watching movies of similar genres of what I read with the addition of comedies to that list; and listening to British Invasion, Garage Rock, Surf Rock, Glam, Punk Rock, Ska, Post-Punk, and New Wave music. I also have an interest in objective audiophilia (despite a lack of money, and a vinyl record collection), rigid airships, naval vessels (especially aircraft carriers and WWII era battleships), thermionic computers, mechanical computers, Charles Babbage, airplanes, Art Deco, barnstorming, and pirates.

I have two cats; Carmen, a black cat, and Squishy a tuxedo cat.

Work that I've done on Wikipedia

[edit]

On 21 December 2006 I used Google to translate an article about Francesco Lana de Terzi from German to English, then cleaned up the grammar and used the appropriate synonyms to make it flow better in English. The article still needs work.

On 30 March 2009 I started working on an article about "Head end power cars".

I correct spelling and grammatical errors when I see them. I also have made links inside articles when it appears to be appropriate.

Political spectrum

[edit]

The results of my political spectrum test: Economic Left/Right: -7.00, Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -5.85[1] In other words, I'm very left wing with some serious libertarian leanings. I'm just showing where my biases are at, though I really try to not let them be present with anything I write or edit.
