Dafahat is a census town in Murshidabad district in the state of West Bengal, India.

Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[2] Dafahat had a population of 11,323. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. Dafahat has an average literacy rate of 36%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 44% and, female literacy is 27%. In Dafahat, 22% of the population is under 6 years of age.
