Tervel Dlagnev (born November 19, 1985) is a Bulgarian American wrestler who won the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials at 120 kg FS. At the 2013 Freestyle World Cup in Tehran, Iran Tervel finished 4 - 1.[1] .

Tervel only wrestled two years in high school, where he finished third and fourth at the Texas state championships.[2]

Tervel was a 2-time NCAA Division II national champion for the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he also won a team title.[3]

Tervel defeated Les Sigman 2 to 0 at the finals of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials.[4] During the wrestling competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics, Dlagnev finished in fifth place after suffering a loss against Komeil Ghasemi from Iran in his bronze medal bout [5] due to separated cartilage in his rib cage[6]
