The Desert Star Weekly (formerly the Desert Valley Star) is a community newspaper covering local news, government, arts and entertainment in the Palm Springs area of California.
The business is located and published in Desert Hot Springs, California as a weekly newspaper.
In 2008 Praxis Communications, Inc., purchased the American Free Journal which had been publishing since 1989 and was circulated in the hi-desert of San Bernardino and Riverside Counties.[citation needed] In 2008, the "Desert Valley Star" website merged with the "American Free Journal" and created a newsprint publication named the Desert Valley Star and added an Internet website for the Journal.
