"Flavor" is a song written and recorded by Tori Amos, originally present on her 2009 album Abnormally Attracted to Sin as a downtempo song, and later released as the lead single from her 2012 album Gold Dust which features classical rearrangements of selected songs from her opus. Amos stated she felt the song was overlooked on its original album and had to be re-worked and noticed on Gold Dust.[1]

Music video

The music video for "Flavor" was directed by Danielle Levitt and it features Amos walking the streets of New York City and encountering many different people, such as skaters, gospel women from Harlem, drag queens, breakdancers etc.[2]

Peter Rauhofer Mixes

In 2012 Peter Rauhofer, known for his dance remixes of several well known hits from artists including Cher, Madonna, Yoko Ono, and P!nk, among others, was commissioned to remix the first single lifted from Gold Dust. An EP containing four remixes was released in late 2012. After scoring a pair of #1 singles on the Hot Dance Club Play chart in the US, 1996's Professional Widow and 1999's Jackie's Strength as well as two other top ten singles: the #6 1996 follow up to Professional Widow, In The Springtime of His Voodoo and 2003's Don't Make Me Come To Vegas, Amos' latest single has reached #2 on the Hot Dance Club Play chart as of February 2013.[3] [4]
