Rembrandt Frerichs is a pianist from the Netherlands.[1] Among the people he worked with is Michael Brecker, who said: "This guy sounds great". He has a couple of ensembles of his own, like the Rembrandt Frerichs Trio and Levantasy. In his playing he's not only being influenced by the American jazz tradition, but as well by philosophy and Arabic music. Frerichs teaches jazz piano on the conservatory of Tilburg.
His debut CD Self Portrait was nominated for an Edison Award,[2] which is the Dutch equivalent of the US Grammy Award.
