In 1940 the management was renewed with the arrival of Enrico Castoldi which opened more to the presence in the catalog of foreign authors (especially Hungarian), but begin a descent of sales that took her almost to fail in the seventies year's. The publishing house, however, did not close and the historic brand was relaunched in 1991 by Alessandro Dalai (then CEO of Electa and Einaudi), who made sure Oreste del Buono.
