Sagar Thapa (born 19 January 1984)[1] is a footballer from Nepal. He made his first appearance for the Nepal national football team in 2003.[2] He plays for Friends Club. He was praised for very well taken free kick against Bangladesh. He has played in 49 international matches for Nepal behind only Bal Gopal Maharjan and Upendra Man Singh.[3] .He is a commanding figure in the field and has a good judgement and anticipation.He took the role of interim coach for Friends Club after their coach Dilkaji Gurung resigned.[4]
