Zim Eats Waffles

Zim Eats Waffles is a popular episode of Invader Zim. It was written by Eric Trueheart.

Plot

One morning, Dib asks the clueless Gir to place a spy camera in Zim's house, which the robot does effectively.

Dib decides to watch the footage on his computer, but he is ready for any problems, having set up several disk drives to copy the footage on.

On the footage: Zim and Gir are at the kitchen table tediously thinking out loud. Gir makes waffles, and Zim actually tries them, deciding they aren't too bad. Zim then thinks about his next "evil plan", but then a "giant flesh-eating" squid attacks them. Dib contacts Agent Darkbooty, but Darkbooty is contacted right when the fight ends.

As Dib attempts to contact more officials as progressively weirder things happen, the fights seem to end. However, at last Dib uploads everything, and Zim could be exposed. Alas, giant robots from a previous venture in the footage destroy the disks. Dib is left shocked and horrified at another chance destroyed again, but just goes to bed.

Themes

Is it possible that Zim is messing around with Dib's giant head? Gir might have told Zim about the camera, as he is incredibly stupid, but it is also possible that he didn't. The two do seem to be acting out dialogue, albeit badly. However, considering the oddities of the show, this is unknown.
