K. G. Markose is an Indian playback singer from Kerala [1] . Markose who is popular for rendering numerous Christian devotional songs and Mappila songs, has also sung in over 100 Malayalam films [2] .

Career

Markose began his music career in the period 1979-1980. Since then, he has sung more than 10000 Christian devotional songs and 5000 Mappila songs in Malayalam language. His started his playback singing career with the song 'Kannuppu maanam' in the film 'Kelkatha shabdam' directed by Balachandra Menon. Markos has done numerous stage shows in India and abroad [2].
