Supercell is a Finnish video game development company founded in June 2010. The company is known for their debut game Gunshine.net, which ran in any browser on any computer operating system. The company aims at new kinds of online games that offer a much deeper experience than basic social media games, but are more accessible than the hard-core PC online games. Supercell started developing games for mobile devices in 2011 and have since then released two games. Supercell have decided not to release any of their games on android believing that they would not make enough money for it to be viable despite the fact that there are a serious lack of 'good' games on android and there are almost X3 as many android users as there are iPad/iPod.

The games:

In Clash of Clans the players can train troops and attack other players' villages to earn gold, elixir and dark elixir. They can also build defensive buildings to defend from other attackers. Clash of Clans includes chat so every player level 2 and above can talk to other players that are around the world or the chat with their clan only.

Hay Day is a game where players can build a farm with animals. They can also gather crops to sell them to other players for gold or feed their animals with it. Players who play Hay Day can "friend" other players; at the beginning of the game they already have one friend named Greg, a computer player. Accel Partners invested 12 million dollars in Supercell in 2011.[1]

Supercell's current games include Clash of Clans and Hay Day.
