Cerberus is a fictional character in the Marvel Universe, based on the figure from myth.

Publication history

Cerberus first appeared in Thor #130 (July 1966), and was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

The character subsequently appears in The Champions #1 (October 1975), The Avengers #282 (August 1987), Marvel Super-Heroes #1 (May 1990), Doctor Strange #35 (November 1991), Thor #462 (May 1993), Thor Annual #19 (1994), Fantastic Four #21 (September 1999), Hercules #5 (September 2005), and X-Factor (vol 3) #223-224 (August 2011).

Fictional character biography

Cerberus is the gigantic, three-headed guardian of Pluto's underworld. He is able to become a humanoid figure and was defeated by Thor when the Thunder god tried to rescue Hercules from Pluto.[1]
