Music
'Also, music by Tupac Sukkur and Biggie Smalls are in the game.' what?? Is this for real? I'm thinking probably not since Tupac's last name doesnt look right to me. I'm pretty new at doing this.. but i'm sure this is rubbish, so i'm gonna remove it, am i right in doing so?
- Doesn't sound right to me, I guess you're right in deleting it. Please sign your comments.--The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 21:01, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Triva: do we need it?
Is triva really necessary? Do we really need to mention other fighting games Snake has been in? Starmenclock 19:43, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
Yes, it's always nice to know more about something, I don't think it's hurting anyone. As long it's true, then no harm done on putting a trivia.
Trivia, by definition, is pretty unecessary. That's why it's called Trivia. It is, however intresting to know, which, again, makes it trivia. SAMAS 17:42, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Path of Radiance?
"(probably from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance or the recently announced Fire Emblem (Wii) as it shows the Daein crest)" Is that confirmed anywhere? All I see are flags and no crests on them. 24.211.23.77 21:12, 12 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, it isn't confirmed, as far as I know. It's just speculation. That comment should probably be changed/removed, anyway; While it could easily be a Fire Emblem stage, that's not the Daein Crest. ShadowRegulus 00:35, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Old characters
Shouldn't we put something to the effect of "It is expected that all playable characters from Super Smash Bros. Melee will return as playable characters in SSBB." the Great Canadian Ben 13:28, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- No, we don't know that. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 13:32, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- I think the creator hinted at all the charaters remaining in the next game on SSB Dojo.71.225.125.214 15:54, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- I can't even bend my head around that. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 15:57, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- The only comment on SSB Dojo regarding all the classic Melee characters remaining was in reference of Masahiro Sakurai not becoming the game's director, in which case Nintendo would have made a sequel themselves with no new characters, and no old characters being removed. --Smoke 11:30, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- I meant more expected among fans, rather than as an official statement. the Great Canadian Ben 20:00, 15 May 2006 (UTC)

3rd Party Companies that are wanted in
Oh, please... this is an Enclyopedia, there is enough rumors on the boards already. Deleting that part.Seiferalmas 19:34, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
3rd party characters in demand
I think that the 3rd party characters in demand section should be removed. as far as I know, Cloud and Sephiroth have never even appeared on a Nintendo system, and there is no chance they would include characters who haven't appeared on a Nintendo console. the rest of the characters are not likely to appear either. Master Chief is also on the list, and I'm willing to bet that he won't be in this game. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.26.92.26 (talk • contribs) .

- I agree as well. It's unnecessary, extremely objective (I don't know a SINGLE person that's even hoping for Master Chief), and it just makes the article as a whole look unprofessional. I'm going to delete it. Thores 20:18, 13 May 2006 (UTC)

- Please sign your messages (If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times.) We've noted that people are being asked to vote for characters, we don't need a blow-by-blow account of what it is in vogue. It's in Japanese for cripes sake. It is counter-productive. That logo
I'm not entirely too sure that the logo currently on the page is official. Taking a look at the metadata, it was made in Paint.NET. I may upload the logo from the video instead. What do some others think? TheKeithD 20:28, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- It was probably copied and saved in a paint doc, opposed to saved straight. Use your judgement, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:31, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, you're right about that. I'll leave it alone for now. TheKeithD 20:33, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's official. Check IGN.com. He modified it in paint because the art was coupled with another identical logo on a black background. He removed it. -Spire 00:46, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
Sex minigame
I took out the sentence that said there would be a sex minigame with Link and Samus. Anyone know who added that? -Takuthehedgehog 18:29, 13 May 2006 (UTC)
- Some vandal. Everyone knows the sex minigame is between Samus and Wario. Voice of Treason 02:21, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
- You're both wrong. In an interview, Masahiro Sakurai himself said it would be between Samus, Peach, and Zelda. Try to keep updated, O.K.? --Supermariorobot 03:17, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

Replacement Samus or Alt Samus?
I don't think the video made it clear if Zero-Suit Samus will entirely replace the old version or just be another option, although the entry stated this. I rephrased it to explain the possibility of two "Samuses" or just Zero-Suit. Any feedback? WikiFew 03:29, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure none of the originals will change, and no one wants Samus minus her arm cannon.--Viridis 04:15, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
- Suited Samus not being there isn't even a possibility. I don't see any logical reason to think Zero-Suit is a replacement. Voice of Treason 03:20, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Zero-Suit would have to have different attacks since she doesn't have the arm cannon, so I don't think there's any chance she'll replace the orinal Samus. ButchRocket 21:14, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- If you look in the trailer stills, you'll see it's actually the Metroid Fusion Samus who fires the cannon. Well original Samus fires it, and then the suit goes green and yellow and starts to break away. See the stills, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:17, 17 May 2006 (UTC)

Thank you so very much
I just read 50 cent would be a character, and I was appalled. Then somebody took it off, and saved my very soul. Thank you. I hate everything about 50 cent and so this is overwhelmingly joyous. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 71.213.29.203 (talk • contribs) .

Anonymous online play?
The last sentence of the article was a total grammatical mess. I believe I've corrected the grammar, but it is still in need of a source. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.57.42.230 (talk • contribs) .
Video or videos?
A couple of sentences in the "items and abilities" section are confusing me a bit, specifically these two:
"Videos also suggest new battle mechanics, such as "super smash" character moves that are triggered by the collection of emblem items."
"It has been shown in a screenshot that a new item will call out a large puppy from Nintendogs which blocks the screen."
First, are there any other videos out besides the E3 trailer? Secondly, the Nintendog is in the E3 video - should this sentence be changed to say that that's where it's from, or is there an official collection of screenshots not related to the E3 trailer floating around? --Sparky Lurkdragon 21:46, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- There is only one trailer, and the Nintendogs image is in the gallery. Cheers, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:48, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you much. I've rephrased the sentences in question slightly. --Sparky Lurkdragon 22:12, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
Old characters
Let's get something straight, people. Sakurai DID NOT say that all characters would be returning and be untouched. His comment was that if he hadn't directed the game, that's probably what Nintendo would have done. We don't know whether or not they'll all return, and it's possible they won't. Characters have been axed from fighting games before. SSB isn't special. Regardless of what you believe, there is no proof either way, so I think it's best not to add a note on this subject on the page Xubelox 06:02, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Dojo?
I'm just wondering, should this article be named "Super Smash Bros. Dojo"? The official Smash Bros. website appears to call it Dojo, and not Brawl. Perhaps Brawl was an early name (kept for E3), and Dojo is the final one? --Falcon9x5 11:46, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm pretty certain that "Dojo" is just the website. Wait for a press release with a new name before we make any page moves. --Shadow Hog 13:32, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
- Ah yes of course. Sorry, the idea never struck me (I automatically assumed Dojo was the game, not the website). --Falcon9x5 13:53, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
Images
Please don't add an image for every single line of the text, it looks hideous, and isn't required. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:56, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
- I'm confused as to why this image is under the screenshots category (or even in the article at all), as it is just a mockup of what was shown in the trailer. I suggest someone replace it with an actual screenshot from the actual scene. Chu 04:27, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's not even a mock-up; someone uploaded a user-made picture over the original. Voice of Treason 18:32, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- It's crappy, I'd report it for delete it. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 18:36, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
- I fixed it, someone thought it was funny to replace the image with a spoof version, which I reverted. Crisis averted. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 22:40, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Techniques
The fourth paragraph under "Development" states that techniques from Super Smash Bros. Melee will probably be able to be used, such as "wavedashing," "L-cancelling," and "edge guarding." Shouldn't we just take out these examples of techniques? There is no official name for any technique used in SSBM, and the average reader (alright, just about every reader) won't understand these terms.--The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 21:10, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- On an afternote, couldn't these techniques be usable no matter what controller you were using?--The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 17:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- The only term I think people will know about is Wave Dashing. ...I've never heard of the other two.Sukecchi 21:13, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- That entire sentence is nothing but speculation, chock full of fan terms that you wouldn't know unless you hung around in elitist SSB board circles. Basically, I don't know why it's on there.--Claude 21:26, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- Well, edge guarding doesn't take much thought to figure out: guarding an edge while you keep an opponent from getting back on the stage. Even so, removal sounds reasonable.--The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 17:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was a bit dubious about this sentence myself; I edited it so it would have a slightly more formal tone, but perhaps we should just remove it entirely. --Sparky Lurkdragon 21:31, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was in the mind to just take it out myself...more formal tone? I don't think I can detect a single change...The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 17:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- From Nintendo Power Spetember 2005 Issue Volume 195:
- I was in the mind to just take it out myself...more formal tone? I don't think I can detect a single change...The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 17:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- I was a bit dubious about this sentence myself; I edited it so it would have a slightly more formal tone, but perhaps we should just remove it entirely. --Sparky Lurkdragon 21:31, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
"Wavedashing is a tactic where players slide across a board by jumping, blocking, and pressing a direction in quick succession-so quick that the jump is actually skipped. It is hands-down the most difficult move, and it's mind-boggling to see in action. Luigi, Ice Climbers, and marth are probably the best wavedashers."
...I don't even know why I'm defending this, but wavedashing is acknowledged to be a true technique.Sukecchi 22:07, 20 May 2006 (UTC)
- But how many readers are going to know about this?--The Ninth Bright Shiner talk 17:41, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- I have heard of Wave Dashing, but have no idea what it actually is. The others, I've never even heard of.--Agent Aquamarine 22:39, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
Trophies
Does anybody know whether there will be trophies in this game? 69.40.248.212 20:34, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
