Stacy Sullivan is an American singer, recording artist, cabaret performer, musical theatre and concert performer, actor, winner of the Backstage Bistro Award and the Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs(MAC) award.

Current Work

Stacy's new show A Tribute To Miss Peggy Lee, is an interpretive musical exploration of the music of Peggy Lee and her personal struggles as a singer, songwriter, composer, actress, as well as paying homage to Miss Lee's career that spanned six decades, influencing jazz and popular music culture worldwide. Sullivan's debut show was November 2011 at the Metropolitan Room in New York City and has since been performing the show across the United States and abroad.

Early Years

Born Stacy Sullivan, in Boggy Depot, Oklahoma to Elizabeth, a composer of music, and James A. Sullivan, director of the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service in Norman, Oklahoma. The seventh of eight children in the multi-talented Sullivan family, Stacy began performing at the age of five. Stacy graduated Cum Laude from Tulsa University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music where she studied with famed voice teacher, Lavin Sowell. After graduation, Stacy traveled to Hollywood, California, working in musical theatre and operetta. She settled in California through to 2011.

Cabaret and Concerts

Sullivan's Tribute To Miss Peggy Lee show was performed at the The Crazy Coqs at Brasserie Zédel, London, the historic Cafe Carlyle, Metropolitan Room, Midtown Jazz At Midday in St. Peter's Church, Iridium Jazz Club, Don't Tell Mama, New York City, and Boston Performing Arts Center, Pasadena, California. Most notably, Sullivan was invited by Miss Peggy Lee's family to perform as part of the Grand Opening program of The Midland Continental Railroad Depot Transportation Museum, Wimbledon, North Dakota, May 26, 2012, that features Peggy Lee exhibits in tribute to Miss Lee's life's work and North Dakota roots '. Sullivan opened the celebration weekend by performing the tribute show at 'Jamestown's Reiland Fine Arts Center, Jamestown, North Dakota. Sullivancontinued the celebratory invite and performe dher tribute show at The Stage At Island park,Fargo, North Dakota.


Sullivan has performed across the country over the years, Jazz at Lincoln Center, the legendary Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel, Ford Theatre, New York City, and famed Feinstein's at the Cinegrill in Hollywood. Sullivan performed in eight Cabaret Conventions in New York City and San Francisco. Most recently at the APAP(Association Of Performing Arts Presenters) conference, January, 2012.


In May 2008, Sullivan made her debut in the 'Lyrics and Lyricists' Series at the 92nd Street Y, New York City, with Andrea Marcovicci.


Concert performances include the Pasadena Symphony and Pops Orchestra with John Ritt, La Mirada Symphony and Knoxville Symphony. Stacy performs in The Annual Sullivan Family Holiday Concert at the University of Oklahoma, a benefit concert for the Women's Resource Center.

Theatre

Sullivan's theatrical performances include Christine in the Yeston/Kopit Los Angeles premiere of Phantom, Rosabud in the West Coast premiere of The Mystery of Edwin Drood with Karen Morrow and George Rose, Toby Bluth's Babes in Toyland world premiere with Robert Morse at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium and the Orange County Performing Arts Center, and Look Back in Anger at the Rose Theatre in Venice, California.

Personal life

Stacy currently lives in New York City with her husband, Jeff Brown. They have two children, Sullivan Brown and Savannah Brown who are students at UCLA.
