Actually Hockey Europe is a hockey league in Europe. It's brand new. (LAz17 (talk) 04:25, 24 October 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:CHL logo.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:CHL logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:17, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

KHL players of the month

Where do you get this info? Thanks--Lvivske (talk) 07:37, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! A question: Are you currently working on a new table and map for the teams participating in the 2011 European Trophy? I see it as too complicated to make a new one myself (and there are now four divisions), so I would appreciate your help with that. See this article (Swedish, but try using a translator) for clarification of the teams. Thanks, HeyMid (contribs) 16:53, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'd like to do the new map and list. I am a bit busy this week, but I will slowly work on it over the next couple weeks. I am afraid it will get pretty crowded on the map in Czech Republic, but I guess we can squeeze the 6 teams on there somehow... Cheers, Wild8oar (talk) 18:31, 17 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, great work on the Drivers championship standings table. Seems like a very complicated edit process! scanbus (talk) 20:22, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited European Trophy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Slovan Bratislava (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello again! Could you try tweaking the alignment of the "Č. Buděj." text and the "Bern" one in the map at the European Trophy article? They are overlapping the dots. Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 22:20, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Indeed, it gets very crowded now in Central Europe. I saw somebody made the map bigger. Maybe that's the best solution for now. Wild8oar (talk) 08:42, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lev Poprad

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --IJK_Principle (talk) 20:27, 27 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Dynamo?

What's up? I thought we were keeping the articles separate for the historical and the MVD-founded one?--Львівське (говорити) 14:13, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't make sense to artificially keep them apart. Currently (i.e. before my edits), most content was duplicated, including the most recent championship which was listed in both. Also, the current club is clearly called Dynamo Moscow, UHC has completely disappeared. So I think we should use HC Dynamo Moscow for as the main article about Dynamo. We can keep UHC Dynamo for some information about the merger and the for the links relating to the 2009–10 KHL season. I am willing to hear other opinions, but it seems only logical, as also all links to UHC Dynamo were renamed to Dynamo Moscow. Wild8oar (talk) 14:49, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I'm with Львівське on this. This should be discussed before you just go changing everything on your own whim. Even the information you've included on the "merged" page is contradictory and makes things a lot more confusing. I've gone into greater detail on the UHC Dynamo talk page. Diacritics

Hey thanks for linking me to WP:HOCKEY about the diacritics. I've been looking for that guideline for quite some time now! (saint0wen (talk) 03:52, 28 June 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Hello! Could you add Asplöven HC to {{HockeyAllsvenskan Labelled Map}}? I don't think I have time to get into that. Cheers, HeyMid (contribs) 16:58, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited HC Lev Praha, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jiří Novotný (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello! In Template:Elitserien Labelled Map, can you remove Timrå and Rögle, and add Örebro and Leksand? Also, in Template:HockeyAllsvenskan Labelled Map, can you do the opposite (i.e. remove Örebro and Leksand, and add Timrå and Rögle)? Thanks in advance, HeyMid (contribs) 21:08, 30 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, done. I also changed the Elitserien template to the nicer location map. Can you check if everything is alright now? Cheers. Wild8oar (talk) 08:49, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, everything works as expected. The map you changed to is much cleaner; for example, I can clearly read "AIK" now. But the Kvalserien for HockeyAllsvenskan is still going on, and right now it seems there will be at least one new team from Division 1 this year. Perhaps I can return when that Kvalserien has finished, or I can try adding them myself? Cheers, HeyMid (contribs) 09:41, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, you can ask me again when you know more. Or you can add it yourself. The new template makes it much easier because you can just enter the actual coordinates (xx°yy'N etc) instead of attempting to place it on the map with trial and error. Wild8oar (talk) 09:48, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
