Replaceable fair use File:My 31st Demerit.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:My 31st Demerit.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 09:17, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sculptures of Bangladesh, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages BC, The Daily Star and Paharpur (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Orphaned non-free media (File:My 31st Demerit.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:My 31st Demerit.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:52, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Yes sure, tell me. Zayeem (talk) 07:47, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for your kind reply. Please, check here first. I've created and contributed many articles but some were given to me by their owners and when I found enough sources then I create them on wikipedia. But a user is keep blamming me of doing articles for my profit even being aware of WP:WIALPI and Wikipedia:Paid editing. Is there any way I can request a neutral editor to check all the articles I created? This will be a great help. Thanks, NickAang (talk) 05:19, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
He might be a patroller to avert vandalism in Wikipedia. You can seek help from WP:DR. But be advised to choose your words wisely. You have been saying that the articles have been given to you by their owners. You should know that there is no ownership of articles in Wikipedia and you can't term anyone as the owner of an article. This would further strengthen the doubt of the accusers. Zayeem (talk) 05:55, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks for the advise. I don't think he follows WP:RCP properly and also you may check this. Best Regards, NickAang (talk) 06:45, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Improving articles

Hi, we meet again! It's excellent how you are making articles related to Chittagong. But please don't just copy paste text from the Chittagong article, like you did in History of Chittagong and Economy of Chittagong.

Cheers Ahnaaf (talk) 15:16, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just tried to start an article on the topics and decided to improve it later. I've also attributed the copied edits in the talk pages of those articles. Thanks --Zayeem (talk) 15:57, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Hilli

Battle of Hilli was part of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. In the Bangladesh Liberation War Campaign box, it is not there, the Battle of Hilli is in the campaign box of Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, Secondly, do NOT pose authority! Use talk page from now onward in case of conflict. Faizan (talk) 10:32, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, Battle of Hilli is present in the Template:Bangladesh liberation, besides, you can not refer to a campaign box to prove your point, the editor who created the campaign box might have missed the article! Battle of Hilli started on November 22 while the Indo-Pak war started on 3rd December, hence it's more appropriate to call it a part of Bangladesh Liberation War which started on 26th March. And I would request you to have a comprehensive read on WP:AGF before you post in a talk page, your comments like do NOT pose authority! is a breach of the behavioral policies of wikipedia. Lastly, I'm reverting your edit in that article and don't revert mine until we come to a consensus here. Thanks. --Zayeem (talk) 13:48, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It is not a breach of etiquette, you should cooperate instead of reverting others' edits, you ought to have waited for my reply here, so that we might reach a consensus here, but you reverted my edits, and that show your WP:AGF experience, besides the editor who created the Bangladesh template, may have added the article mistakenly! I cannot refer to a campaign box, and you can also not refer to a template. Anyway, I agree with your point of Starting dates of the battle! The Battle of Hilli no doubt started as a part of the Bangladesh Liberation War, but when after India invaded East Pakistan, then the battle became a part of Indo-Pakistani fight too! I agree with your point that it was a part of BLW, and my point is that it also became part of Indo-Pak war of 1971 after 3rd December when India joined the War, so I have also added info about that along with the BLW. Hope the conflict gets solved, Regards! Faizan (talk) 14:24, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, discussing the matter before making a revert is not compulsory unless the revert breaches the WP:3RR policy. Besides, I have also given explanations in the edit summaries as well as in this talk page! Anyways, I guess we have reached a consensus, it was part of both the wars. Thanks. --Zayeem (talk) 15:22, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's it! Thank you too! Faizan (talk) 15:52, 10 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

hello

hi. . . . . i had no intention to make disruptive edits, however, wikipedia does not allow us to use copious amounts of non-referenced text (these can be removed at any time) and also weasel words and peacock terms. all the articles you reverted included too much of such content, but it's not allowed to use advertising type language on wikipedia. we wouldn't find things like that in an normal encyclopedia. i hope if you go back and look at my edits, then you will understand what i was trying to do. believe me, you'll get it when you read what things i deleted! since you are highly experienced in these matters, i will also be grateful if you can also give this matter some attention and help fix these articles. Ricose (talk) 18:24, 17 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Zayeem! Regarding some revert-disputes over the following articles:

  1. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Fuad_al_Muqtadir&action=history
  2. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Mehreen_Mahmud&action=history

  6. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Warfaze&action=history
  7. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Stone_Free_(band)&action=history
  8. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Feedback_(band)&action=history

  12. http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Bangladeshi_rock&action=history

Articles must be properly sourced, and the use {{citation needed}} (or similar tags) is a perfectly acceptable way of pointing out a lack of sourcing (and thus lack of verifiability). Please refrain from removing the tags without providing an appropriate citation from a reliable (preferably independent) published source; Original research cannot be accepted as basis for content. Additionally, any material lacking a reliable source directly supporting it may be removed.

We must also observe a Wikipedia:Neutral point of view at all times, thus puffery should indeed be removed or reworded.

There is even a specific content policy which applies to biographies of living persons, kind of is like a stricter version of the others I linked to; you may be interested in it too if you are not aware of it.

You are probably already aware of all this, but i just thought it best to point it out just in case. Please respond, rather than revert-warring with Ricose. Regards, benzband (talk) 19:09, 19 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

hello my friend, no worry about the late reply. in reply to the message you left on my talk page, i do realise that other editors have also worked on the articles in the past, but wikipedia also has a few policies according to which all wikipedia articles must be written, such as

1. using reliable and neutral sources - for example, facebook pages, fan blogs or the personal website of the subjects are not considered reliable sources for wikipedia as anybody can set those up and claim to great, also the sources must be such that they can be verified by any other wikipedia editor in the world. material that comes from non-reliable sources or unreferenced content can be deleted at any time by anybody.

2. keeping a neutral point of view - this means just stating verifiable facts, also not adding biased adjectives like 'wonderful, awesome, disgusting, stupid', and not using superlatives like 'the best band of the country' or 'supreme virtuoso' unless they come from a world-class reliable source like say, newsweek magazine. this is why even worldwide famous artists such as top singers from the USA are described simply by their profession on wikipedia rather than including adjectives like 'heart throb singer', 'most popular singer of the world' or 'wonderfully fantastic'. please check the page of any famous international celebrity if you have any doubts. . . .as i read somewhere in the wiki guidelines, if someone is truly outstanding then the facts will speak for themselves.

3. sufficient notability - if a band has no albums (or just one or two independently released albums which have achieved relatively minor or little success) and just one or two concert reviews and a facebook page to prove their existence, they are not really notable enough to have their own wikipedia page.

4. sufficient number of sources - if a wikipedia article has just a single or very few sources, that is not considered sufficient by wikipedia standards. for example, the article about rock music in Bangladesh has only about five or six sources, but such a vast topic cannot be based on such few sources.

there are many more rules that need to be observed for wikipedia articles.

thus, i have tried to fully retain as much of the work of the past editors as possible while also respecting the rules of wikipedia. the edits i have made have no relationship with how many editors worked on the articles in the past, the edits is just to ensure that the material published here is meeting wikipedia guidelines.

here are a few pages you could read to learn more, in a ddition to the ones benzband (talk has listed above. . . . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NPOV http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:W2W http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:V http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:OR http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Masking_the_lack_of_notability http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_one_cares_about_your_garage_band

so let's try to respect wikipedia policies! Here's to a clean wikipedia! Ricose (talk) 13:28, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No problem with removing the peacock and weasell words but as I've pointed before you are removing more contents than you should (may be mistakenly but still), and in this process you are even removing some reliable sources as you did here! I'm a bit busy in real life so can't fix those articles soon. I'd request you to recheck your edits and add the related maintainance templates. I'm reverting few of your edits with some additional edits of mine to fix it. Thanks. --Zayeem (talk) 10:14, 21 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your kind response needed

Hello, this is another mate on the English Wikipedia. I've found your contributions to the articles created by User:BengaliHindu and i'd appreciated your comments on those articles. I'm requesting your comments as i feel some false accusation are being made without reliable sources in those articles. Specially, i found this article 2013 Canning riots with lots of bias. May be i'm wrong but it may also possible that such articles were created per Islamophobia. I'd deeply appreciate your comments. Best Regards,  Mrwikidor ←track 16:24, 31 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I've gone through the article, though it doesn't seem to deserve a deletion, but in few cases I found some original research. Besides, You need to specify the biased contents that are not supported by the references. Thanks --Zayeem (talk) 19:44, 1 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, i too now don't want a deletion rather major copy-edits as there are huge bias and exaggeration of the even. And, i believe there are a no. Hindu extremists involved behind a conspiracy to defame particularly Islam which is clear from the tone of their article. I wonder why you didn't raise the Bangladesh related bias edits to Bangladesh noticeboards or users who are knowledgeable in Bangladesh history.  Mrwikidor ←track 19:24, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
