Narayanavanam is a census town and mandal headquarters in Chittoor district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.

Narayanavanam is located at 13.42°N 79.58°E / 13.42; 79.58. It has an average elevation of 122 metres (400 feet).

Narayanavanam is just 35 km away from Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India and 95 km away from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. It is just 5 km away from Puttur, point of departure for buses to the temple town Narayanavanam. From Narayanavanam you can go to Kona Falls.

As of 2001 India census, Narayanavanam had a population of 10,965. Males constitute 50% of the population and females 50%. History

At one time Narayanavaram was the Capital of the Karvetinagar Suryavanshi Raja's. Within Narayanavanam and its surroundings mountains up to Puttur, there are some ancient statues known as Akasha Maharaju Kota. This fort is located behind the Avanakshi Amma temple.

Narayanavanam is also famous for manufacturing lungis, shirts, Churidhars and for handlooms.

It is also considered a holy city because of the presence of Sri Padmavathi Sametha Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple (Maintained by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). According to local legend, it is where lord Venkateswara Swamy married goddess Padmavati. King Akasaraju had a son and daughter. The daughter’s name was Sri Padmavati, who fell in love with Lord Venkateswara Swamy and was married to him. As the marriage took place in Narayanavaram, Padmavathi’s brother build two Temples; one is here, another in Tirumala to commemorate this occasion. It is one of the few temples where we can see both Venkateswara Swamy along with Padmavathi Devi in one temple complex. Other popular temples in Narayanavaram are:
