Howe Island is a 31 km² (12 mi²) located in the St. Lawrence River near Kingston. It is part of the Thousand Islands chain.

Howe Island measures 13 km (8 mi) long and 5 km (3 mi) wide. Located just east of Kingston, it forms the river's Bateau Channel on the north, with the main flowage of the river lying to the south.

The population of Howe Island numbers approximately 300 residents, this figure doubles in the summer months when recreational properties are occupied. Two ferry services connect the island at Pitts Ferry and Gananoque.

Part of Frontenac County, together with Wolfe Island it forms the township of Frontenac Islands.
