James 'Jimmy' O'Connell (born 1908) was an Irish hurler who played as a goalkeeper for the Kilkenny senior team from 1932 until 1941.[1]
O'O'Connell joined the team as substitute goalkeeper during the 1932 championship and became a regular player over the next decade. During that time he won three All-Ireland winner's medals and five Leinster winner's medals.[2]
At club level, O'Connell enjoyed a lengthy career with Dicksboro, however, he never won a county club championship winners' medal.
