Kammanahalli is a small village located in Tumkur District, Turuvekere Taluk, Mayasandra Hobli and Vittalapura Post in India's Karnataka State. The village is about 12 km from Yadiyur which is famous for the Lord Siddalingeshwara Temple and is about 100  km from IT City Bangalore.

The population of the village is around 150 (around 30 families). The average literacy rate is 70%, although the village is deprived from primary school. The village is also deprived from basic facilities like roads, transportation even after 65 years of Independence. The villagers depend on neighboring villages for primary and secondary education. For hospital and medicine, the villagers have to go at least 15 km from the village.

The Lord Sri Ranganatha Swamy Temple and Lord Lakshmi named[clarification needed] by lord Sri Muttinamma temple are here. The festival will be celebrated during the month of March or April; generally the festival will be held for 9 days with many cultural activities like Dance (Ranga Kunitha), God mardi gras (Muttinamma Devi Utsava), Drama and several other religious programs will also be performed on the occasion.

The main occupation in the village is agriculture. The farmers follow innovative methods of growing Coconuts, Paddy[clarification needed], Raagi, Vegetables and many other crops as required according to the seasons, some of the farmers are dependent on dairy farming. The village has a small lake near Sri Muttinamma temple, this is the main source of water for paddy farming. The villagers also depend on well water for drinking and agriculture.

The Shimsha River flows north to south nearby village in the east, the part of water will be get from the river for agriculture. the Shimsha river is very most helpful to our villagers and its become "Jeeva Nadi".
