Phil Ochs was not allowed to join the tour because his lacking ability to control his life (drugs, alcohol, etc.). Shortly after, he committed suicide. Can anyone confirm this? Ehjort 14:18, 20 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dylan was introduced most likely to Shepard by Jacques Levy, who had been co-writing with Dylan some of the lyrics of the Desire album. Shepard states in his "log-book" that Levy was the regiseur in one of Shepard's early off-broadway dramas. 93.131.169.87 (talk) 22:20, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
