Herbert Louis Rooney[1] was a record producer who was responsible for producing songs by the Exciters and for producing the sample staple Synthetic Substitution by Melvin Bliss. His wife, Brenda Reid, is another member of the Exciters and his son, Cory Rooney, has produced for the likes of Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Jessica Simpson, Jennifer Lopez,[2] Marc Anthony, Thalia, Destiny's Child, and many more.
