Ayesha Thapar Page Reworked

Hi,

Can you please go through this - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tushar_Taliyan/Ayesha_Thapar, and let me know your feedback. I really wish to go live with this.

Thanks, Tushar Taliyan (talk)

Copied from Archive - Hi INeverCry, I have worked on this article, and have made changes as per your suggestions and as per Wiki guidelines - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Tushar_Taliyan/Ayesha_Thapar. This is the best I could come up with, with the available information on net. Request you to make it live as a stub. I will update it as and when I come across more information. Thanks, Tushar Taliyan (talk) 10:58, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Hi INeverCry, I had recently created an article which was deleted by you. It was a biography of Ayesha Thapar - http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Ayesha_Thapar&action=edit&redlink=1 .The reason mentioned by the user who put the 'speedy deletion' tag, was that the article appeared to be an advertisement. Since I'm new on Wikipedia, Iam not really sure what amounted to this conclusion. I had no such intent and only wanted to contribute. I did my own research and found out the possible glitches which I have mentioned below. Please let me know if fixing them would serve the purpose - 1- Put a link to the linkedin profile of Ayesha Thapar 2- Opinionated the article in one place If there are more points to take care of ,then please let me know. It would be great if you could let the article go live and then help me develop it. Thanks & Regards, Tushar Taliyan (talk) 06:11, 7 May 2013 (UTC) This was deleted under WP:CSD#G11, but it could just as easily have been deleted under WP:CSD#A7 as it is. It probably struck the speedy tagger as a promo for a non-notable person. I've restored it and placed it in your userspace for you to work on: User:Tushar Taliyan/Ayesha Thapar. I think more has to be done to establish her notability. What, if any, connection does she or her company/ies have with the Thapar Group or the Avantha Group? A mainspace article on her may have to wait until there's an article on atleast one of her companies. If the companies she runs aren't notable enough for their own articles, then she might not be notable at present. The Thapar family connection doesn't necessarily make any member of the family notable. Good Try but unfortunately some editors seem to think stupidity like a tongue peircing is notbale. I have been trying for many years to get that nonsense removed to no avail. Arzel (talk) 21:16, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't there some policy against reverting admins? INeverCry 21:28, 16 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently not.  :) Arzel (talk) 04:43, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The detail has been removed again and taken to the article's talk. INeverCry 20:35, 18 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Straw Man

Hi INeverCry, I tried to make a change to the page Straw Man, as I feel some of the information is incorrect. Straw Man is taught in schools as "Straw Man" not "Aunt Sally" and is never referred to as "Aunt Sally" when it is brought up in a discussion as the page suggests. I hope you can accept this correction. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Will Webster (talkcontribs) 16:44, 17 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The inclusion of that detail is backed by two sources. If you want to remove it, you would have to take the issue to the article's talkpage and show reliable sources that back up your assertion that it isn't used. If consensus is reached, the detail could be altered or removed. If, however, you continue to arbitrarily remove it, you'll likely end up having your account blocked.
