TART Collective
The tART Collective was started in 2004 by female graduate students in NYC, many of whom were from the Hunter College MFA Studio Art program.[1] Initially tART provided its members with a way to meet and discuss being female artists in a male dominated art world. Studio visits are a way that the members support each other's efforts and give insightful feedback on studio practices.
