Madavoor is a village in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala, India.[2]
Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census, Madavoor had a population of 20855 with 9932 males and 10923 females.[2]
Its located in the road connecting Kilimanoor & Parippalli.
Gramapanchayat
Local Self Government of Madavoor consists of 15 elected members. The office is located at Mavinmoode,near N.S.S.H.S.madavoor.panchayat president Adv.c.Ravindran unnithan.
Krishi Bhavan
Krishi Bhavan is located at Madavoor Chandamukku. The office is headed by an Agricultural Officer, assisted by three Agricultural Assistants. The office has mandate over 120 Hectares of Paddy cultivation and other crops in the area. Rubber has emerged has the major crop crushing the status of Coconut. Coconut gardens are massively replanted with Rubber due to the high returns fetched by this crop. The conversion is hastened by the Gramapanchayats aid to cut and remove coconut (diseased) trees. Farmers have utilised the root wilt eradication programme to eradicate coconut and establish Rubber.
N.S.S.H.S.Madavoor
School established on 1962. H.S & U.P.section. Only one HS in Madavoor Panchayat.the biggest schhool in the madavoor panchayat.Situated opposite to l.p.s school madavoor. It has a ground measuring over 300mtrs.RATHER THE main gate,opp. the front part of the school there is a lane like exit .Walking down the exit you can see the fields of madavoor.THE main agriculture is rubber,rice,coconut and banana.
