Dead
Hi, FYI removed the BLP prod tag. article already stated died 1958, therefore not a BLP prod. Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 17:00, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- Thats not a problem, when i applied the BLP it didn't say he had died in the article. --JetBlast (talk) 18:28, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
Seriously? You felt the need to tag a new article that is obviously being worked on by a well established community member? Reedy (talk) 22:21, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- To be fair i didn't know it was knew (should have checked). I did just stumble across this after watch lightfeilds on TV. As an established user i would have thought you would have know to draft it in your namespace first? Anyway BLPPROD is not a usual delete tag. It gives people plenty of time to get it sourced. --JetBlast (talk) 22:24, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- Perhaps you should now give Reedy a wikilove kitten so he does not cry to much and deletes the master database? :p --Jeroen De Dauw (talk) 22:34, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- JetBlast, keep in mind that when you are "prodding" something, you are, in fact, proposing it for deletion. The burden is still on you to take simple steps like checking the article's history, and it gives you no extra authority to tell people where they should draft their articles. Drafting in the use namespace is a particular convention that not everyone follows (or needs to). Above all else, you should take care because sticking a prod tag on an article is still nominating another editor's work for deletion, and it's never fun to get one of those notices. Doing so carelessly is likely to alienate editors. I removed your tag from the article. Dominic·t 22:35, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
- Like i say it was pot luck i come to a brand new article. I assumed it had been around for a while. I should have checked. --JetBlast (talk) 22:40, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Gbeach03 SPI
Hi. Could you take another look at your SPI request (Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Gbeach03)? It doesn't look like a case of sockpuppetry to me. Rather, it appears that the user initially created an account with the name of his organization — and when that account was blocked per policy, he followed the instructions in the block notice and created another account with a different, non-objectionable name. Or am I missing something here? — Rich wales (no relation to Jimbo) 00:01, 8 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, If you have a look (if you can) the company account name was blocked after i put the sock puppet case in. When i put the case in both accounts where unblocked. It was me who reported the username after reporting the sock puppet stuff. Thanks --JetBlast (talk) 08:06, 8 April 2013 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:Eaglexpress Logo.png)
Thanks for uploading File:Eaglexpress Logo.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:04, 13 April 2013 (UTC)
Re
Frankly I never figured countervandalism might be considered a 3RR violation, feel free to hold and encourage every vandalism you like, it won't longer be my business reverting them. There's a strong canvassing on a certain webforum, so when they'll come back removing the multiple isse template I'll have to do nothing, wont I?--Vituzzu (talk) 20:37, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- It wasn't vandalism. The delete template can be removed by anybody no problem, the template says "You may remove this message if you improve the article or otherwise object to deletion for any reason. Although not required, you are encouraged to explain why you object to the deletion, either in your edit summary or on the talk page." The template also clearly says regarding the removal "If this template is removed, do not replace it." So you shouldn't have restored the template never mind multiple edits. To be honest you are lucky a Admin didn't notice or take action. --JetBlast (talk) 20:45, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- The multiple issues template being removed is vandalism, however. Vituzzu is a m:steward and enwiki is not his home wiki, so I'm willing to AGF and assume that he did not know about the PROD process. --Rs chen 7754 20:54, 17 April 2013 (UTC)
- ((edit conflict)) {{Multiple issues}} too? Can you see any improvement by the user going on removing it for years? There's just a pointless comment made by an user pretending (as you can see from edit summaries) to be two different people, if I might be "50% wrong" for the speedy we should always take care of WP:UCS and WP:GAME. Sorry if I am too harsh but there has been two years of crosswiki canvassing which definitely made me bored of it, I don't care about the keeping or removal of that article, I simply want that every evaluation about it is made by third trusted users. --Vituzzu (talk) 20:56, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

To be honest i am not disputing the multi issue removal. Its more to do with re-adding the PROD. The template is pretty clear.... --JetBlast (talk) 21:01, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

The Lead section of the article "Om Swami"
Hello JetBlast,
There is a message on my article "Om Swami" to re-write the lead section. Now that we have made that required update, what needs to be done to get this message removed? Please let me know if the article requires any additional updates.
By the way, thank you for the Citation Barnstar. :)

I've declined your speedy request as the text quoted was written by someone who died in 1922. I would doubt that any of the other authors died less than 75 years ago. It's a bit of a mess for an article, though. 19:03, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Aer Arann
I note that you reverted my addition of a hull-loss accident claiming that the url didn't support the claim. Did you actually read the report? Page 3 (SYNOPSIS), 1st paragraph, last sentence states "There were no injuries but the aircraft was deemed to be damaged beyond economical repair."
I'm not in the habit of adding unreferenced material to Wikipedia, and would therefore ask that you revert you edit. Mjroots (talk) 19:39, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, i reverted the edit because the addition's source didn't link to that PDF above. It linked to this. I did open the sub PDF's from this link but i there isn't any info about this incident. Thanks --JetBlast (talk) 19:44, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hmmm, not sure what happened there. It opens OK with Mozilla Firefox. Anyhow, I see that there is previous discussion on the talk page re this accident with consensus not to include as it was then deemed a "non-serious" accident. Now that a hull-loss has been proved, it is notable enough to include. I've re-opened the discussion at talk:Aer Arann and am going to notify the Aviation WikiProject. Mjroots (talk) 19:51, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Hi again. If you look at the URL's the one you included in the reference, is missing _0 at the end. This is what causing the link to be dead. From my view i got to a link to 3 reports none of them about this incident. I am using Firefox 20 on Mac OSX 10.8.3. Personally i think it should go in now we have evidence the incident is notable as per WP:AIRCRASH --JetBlast (talk) 19:57, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Ah, so that was the problem. I've fixed the url on the other two articles that the accident is mentioned on. Mjroots (talk) 20:06, 15 May 2013 (UTC)
- Good work! --JetBlast (talk) 20:59, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Non-English sources
Hi, Jetblast! I saw an edit at Hong Kong Airlines in which your summary was "(Undid revision 542941740 by Vja1990 (talk) This is not in English, cannot be verified. For the English wikiepdia please use English sources) (undo)"
In fact non-English sources are allowed. It is that English sources are preferred. There is a crucial difference. Non-English sources can be verified by checking with a speaker of that language. WhisperToMe (talk) 17:34, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
- In reality how would i find someone who can speak that language? They could be putting anything. --JetBlast (talk) 22:16, 16 May 2013 (UTC)

Your message at ANI
Hi, JetBlast. You a) say I'm hounding him...I'm trying to help and b) I wasn't banned. It was a simple 1 week cool-down block. Please change it. WorldTraveller101(Trouble?/My Work) 18:02, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
- Tweaked it, but a block and a ban is nearly the same thing anyway. --JetBlast (talk) 18:06, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
- This isn't hounding. I'm doing this to a self-admitted sock and helping out with a proposed ban for the better of the Wikicommunity. I'll take your advice, but it's not Wikihounding and if so, there's a valid reason to do so, per the guideline. This isn't just some innocent user...this is a sock of a banned user and it is being dealt with. Thanks, though. WorldTraveller101(Trouble?/My Work) 18:10, 25 May 2013 (UTC)
