ETF Securities is an independent, exchange-traded product provider headquartered in the UK which issues exchange-traded funds (ETFs), exchange-traded commodities (Commodity ETCs) and exchange-traded currencies (Currency ETCs)

History

In 2003, ETF Securities listed the world's first exchange-traded gold product on the Australian Stock Exchange in 2003.[1] In 2008, ETF Securities listed the first carbon ETC on the London Stock Exchange.[2] In 2013, ETF Securities started listing currency-hedged physical gold investment products on the London Stock Exchange and the Deutsche Boerse.[3]

Funds

ETF Securities has 332 Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) on up to nine stock exchanges. As of 2012, it had $30 billion in assets under management.[4]

The firm offers 146 ETCs mostly in energy, precious metals, industrial metals and agriculture.

In September 2008, ETF Securities launched ETF Exchange, an ETF platform. The ETF platform is now available on 5 European exchanges including the London Stock Exchange, Deutsche Borse, Borsa Italiana, NYSE Euronext and the ISE.

ETF Securities launched a Exchange Traded Currency (Currency ETCs) software in November 2009.
